Portuguese AV project founded by Miguel Osório, Afonso Figueiredo and José Eloy - left to right in photo - in 2002. This collective produces AV work inspired in visual communication culture. As vj’s they have been performing with some of the best international musicians and dj’s such as: Peter Kruder, Herbert, Tiga, Vitalic, Ivan Smagghe, LCD Sound System among others. They have been mixing video in the main portuguese festivals: Sudoeste Fest, Hype@Meco, CBT Heineken, Imago Film Fest and in the major portuguese clubs and discos: Kadoc, Garage, Vaticano, Clinic and Lux. They have created the visuals and mixed video in the Lisbon Village Fest (digital film fest) in 2006. VHS were nominated for the Dance Club Awards in Video Jamming category (2005 and 2006). In the domain of video-installation they have participated in various cultural events and festivals. They have developed a mixed sound-video concept that has been presented in ZDB (cultural-association) in Lisbon and in the portuguese event Caldas Late Night 2004. They have developed video-jamming projects and created corporate videos for major brands: Sony Ericsson, Nobre and Frisumo. They have directed the music video “It’s all worth it for the summer” of the portuguese pop singer Gomo and created the visual support of his live performances between 2002 and 2005. They have conceived the visual support for the album release Namaste of Blasted Mechanism band in Aula Magna, Lisbon in 2004. By invitation of the event Movimentos Perpétuos, a homage to the great portuguese guitar player Carlos Paredes, they have directed a video that was presented in Cinemateca Portuguesa in Lisbon (2003). This film was edited in the dvd Movimentos Perpétuos - Tribut to Carlos Paredes (released in 2006). In Numero-Projecta 2006 Fest - Lisbon and in REC Fest 2007 - Madrid they have presented AV live-act ‘Riding in the Stars’ with Dj Ride. |
